Gill Lucas is an artist who draws and paints, working primarily in oils. Taking inspiration from her own images and sketches from the countryside and the coast, her aim is to represent her physical and emotional responses to the environments in which she finds herself.
Created over the past year, the paintings in this exhibition reflect her desire to inject a measure of abstraction into her work.
Gill embarked on her creative practice around 15 years ago, after a career in the corporate world. Initially working with ceramics, she has subsequently extended her work to focus on drawing and painting.
